Who We Are
We are a parent-led, Arts-based Community Interest Company with a strong focus on Youth Re-engagement and Community Regeneration. We are the lead partner in SWUK for Respace Projects, winners of the 2019 Sustainable Cities Award.
Further information on their award winning innovations can be found in the Hive Impact Report.
Our work in SWUK is also now under study in partnership with University of Central Lancashire (UcLan)'s groundbreaking “Hip Hop Obscura” research-project, evaluating the Socio-Cultural and Public Health benefits of engagement in Contemporary Urban Arts on non-obvious and hard-to-reach demographics, rural and coastal communities in particular.
What We Do
We engage and support young people with limited opportunities by facilitating free music, video, art and dance workshops and tuition sessions, while also providing services leading to vocational training and work placements for disengaged teenagers. Workshop and 1-to-1 sessions have been roadtested successfully since 2017 with youth-groups all over UK under the brand-name "HEADSKILLZ".
Our dedicated team combines decades of experience in the global Entertainment Industry, Nonprofit Sector, Academia and Education to form a sustainable, adaptive business model that doesn't rely solely on one revenue stream – NEWBIAS projects are funded by grants, public donations, brand sponsorship and commercial revenue from record label activities, merchandising campaigns and creative consultancy services.
